Labor & Birth Support Package
$2500
At least three prenatal meetings: We meet in your home or another location that feels comfortable. We will answer any questions you have about labor/delivery and make plans for your immediate postpartum time. Topics for these meetings can include, but are not limited to, creation of a birth plan, reviewing labor/birthing positions and birth partner supports, pain management options, building a support network for postpartum, and processing the big feelings related to birth.
Unlimited text/phone support: You’ll have access to me via text or phone call between 6 am and 9 pm ahead of your labor.
On call for your birth after 37 weeks. If I have another family that is due at a similar time, I will coordinate with my backup doula to ensure everyone is covered.
Labor/Delivery Support: Regardless of how long you labor, I will stay with you.
One postpartum visit: I can help identify some of the places where support is needed and make any necessary postpartum care arrangements...and give you all a great big hug!

Yes! I attend births at hospitals, in homes, and at birth centers. Wherever you would like to bring your baby into the world is where I will be.

Sometimes, Cesarean births are planned and sometimes they are a surprise. Is your baby breech? Have you had a previous Cesarean birth and need to have another? There can be some really big feelings around having a surgical birth. Some parents feel relieved that they know when their babe will come. Other folks may feel left out of the "traditional" birthing conversation and may experience feelings of sadness and loss because having a birthday party in the operating room wasn't what they hoped for.
We hear lots of stories about C-sections and some of those stories are saturated in fear and trauma. We don't always hear about the C-section that was beautiful, welcoming, and full of love. Learning about what you can expect from a C-section can take some of the fear out of the process. Knowing what you will need in order to care for yourself for the first several postpartum weeks can set you up for success and reduce stress and frustration.
Having doula support with a Cesarean birth is essential. Together, we can go through the big emotions that might come up. We can talk in-depth about what happens during a surgical delivery, and the hours right after. We will spend time creating a solid postpartum plan that includes the special considerations of healing after surgery.

I am here for you through it all. Finding your way through a labor that is different than you had hoped for can be stressful. We will discuss the more common experiences like location changes and emergency options. I will be with you until you have your baby in your arms, no matter how that happens.
